This page is about how to vote and how to learn from results. It is not “how to win,” and it is not a score formula. Full strategy: How to Win. Next-round habits: How to Get More Votes. Exact vote math, multipliers and rewards are not listed here.
What to Look For
- Theme match — Can you name the prompt from the look?
- Overall coordination — Do makeup, hair and outfit belong together?
- Color harmony — Is there a short palette, or five competing accents?
- Makeup and hair consistency — Does hair hide the story on the face?
- A clear concept — One idea, not a pile of pretty pieces.
Support looks you can understand quickly. Taste still matters, but ignoring the prompt trains you to miss the assignment.
Avoid Random Voting
Re-read the theme, then choose entries that answer it. Voting only for friends, or only for the loudest face, skips the part of the round that teaches you the most.
How to Learn From Your Results
When your look did not get the result you hoped for, do not assume a hidden algorithm. Ask which check failed:
- Could someone name the theme, or did you need to explain it?
- Was the style mixed (cute plus goth plus graphic Y2K)?
- Was hair unfinished, or covering the lead feature?
- Did you add clutter in the last seconds?
- Was intensity wrong for the prompt (full night glam on school)?
Change one of those next round. Copying an entire favorite into a different prompt usually fails for the same reason. Presentation: Runway Guide. Theme practice: How to Match Any Theme.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you know the exact vote formula?
No. This site does not invent hidden scoring. Voting can depend on theme fit and how complete the style appears.
Should I only vote for friends?
Vote for clear theme-fit looks when you can. It keeps rounds fairer and teaches you faster.
Can voting help my own looks?
Yes. Notice which entries are easy to understand, then copy the habit — not the whole face — next round.
Where are codes listed?
